Crop Art Workshop

Do you fondly remember making art by gluing beans and seeds with Elmer’s glue? Do you look forward to the Minnesota State Fair primarily to visit the Horticulture Building to see the Crop Art exhibit? Do I have a class for you!

Join Bridget to learn how to take your crop art to the next level! You’ll learn:

  • How to choose materials that can be used to make 2D and 3D pieces entirely from things that grow in the Midwest
  • Ways to add depth and texture to your work
  • How to finish and protect your crop art
  • Details about entering your work in competitions such as the Minnesota State Fair Crop Art show

This day-long, immersive workshop will be taught at my sod house studio and will include a light lunch and the opportunity to forage on our land for additional materials. Participants will be given all the materials necessary to complete a piece of crop art.

  • Date: Saturday, June 28 at 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Cost: $80
  • Limited to 8 participants
  • Additional sessions will be added in July if there is interest.
